GUIDELINES TO THE STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND PARENTS

Student Guidelines for Success

Welcome to our school’s online community! To ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for everyone, we have created a set of guidelines for students to follow. By adhering to these expectations, we can create a positive atmosphere that promotes learning and personal growth. Please read and follow the guidelines below:

.

1. Respect and Kindness

  • Treat all members of the school community—students, teachers, staff, and visitors—with respect and kindness.
  • Use appropriate language and tone when communicating online and in person.
  • Embrace diversity and be inclusive of everyone regardless of their background, beliefs, or abilities.

2. Academic Integrity

  • Complete all assignments, projects, and exams honestly and to the best of your ability.
  • Do not engage in plagiarism. Always give credit to sources you use for research or ideas.
  • Report any incidents of cheating, dishonesty, or unfair practices to a teacher or staff member.

3. Classroom Behavior

  • Arrive on time, be prepared, and participate actively in class discussions and activities.
  • Stay engaged and avoid distractions (e.g., using mobile phones, talking out of turn) during lessons.
  • Follow the instructions of your teachers and staff promptly and respectfully.

4. Digital Citizenship

  • Use school-provided technology and the internet responsibly and for educational purposes only.
  • Protect your privacy online—do not share personal information such as passwords or addresses.
  • Be mindful of your online behavior; cyberbullying or inappropriate content will not be tolerated.

5. Safety First

  • Always prioritize safety—whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in other areas of the school.
  • Report any unsafe behavior or situations immediately to a teacher or staff member.
  • Know and follow emergency protocols for your school.

6. Respect School Property

  • Treat school buildings, facilities, equipment, and supplies with care.
  • Do not engage in any form of vandalism or theft. Always ask for permission if you need to use something.

7. Health and Well-being

  • Take care of your health—get enough rest, eat nutritious meals, and stay active.
  • If you feel unwell, inform a teacher or school nurse immediately.
  • Practice good hygiene to help prevent the spread of illness, including regular handwashing and covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze.

8. Time Management and Responsibility

  • Stay organized by keeping track of assignments, deadlines, and school activities.
  • Seek help from teachers or classmates if you are struggling with your studies.
  • Be responsible for your actions and decisions, both in and out of school.

9. Extracurricular Engagement

  • Get involved in extracurricular activities to enhance your school experience, whether it’s sports, clubs, arts, or community service.
  • Balance your commitments to academics and extracurriculars to maintain a healthy and successful routine.

10. Communication and Feedback

  • Keep communication open with your teachers, school counselors, and parents. If you’re experiencing difficulties, don’t hesitate to ask for support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve the school environment, and feel free to share your ideas for making school a better place for everyone.

By following these guidelines, we can all contribute to a school environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported. Let’s work together to make our school a place of learning and growth!
